Charlton academy director Avory proud of England pair Gomez, Konsa

Charlton academy director Steve Avory is proud of where his former youth stars have reached.

Avory will be looking at England's upcoming friendly against Belgium with some excitement.

Both Joe Gomez of Liverpool and Ezri Konsa of Aston Villa, formerly of Charlton, are likely to start the game.

I'm going tonight", Avory told The Standard.

I don't know if either will start, but it will be great to see them play against Belgium, particularly if they can both be on the pitch at the same time.
